We are so grateful for everyone who joined us for another Land Day at Yesah Farm! This was a hands-on community gathering focused on food sovereignty, traditional agricultural wisdom, environmental stewardship, and culturally rooted sustainability. There were meaningful discussions on topics such as regenerative farming and Indigenous nutrition. We engaged in storytelling and ceremony, and shared nourishing food together.
A highlight of the day was walking the land and learning about the numerous “weeds” that are actually food and medicine. We transplanted some mullein, mulched our blueberry bushes, and planted some cucumbers and mint plants!
Big thanks to the volunteers from Roots and Wings! It was truly an intergenerational gathering and we can’t wait for for the next one. Stay tuned for future opportunities to connect with us on the Land!
